There is a new kid in the neighborhood, a 'new kid on the block ', they would say across the pond. The American University in Washington, DC announced the launch of a new master's degree in Communication Policy. The result of collaboration between schools of Communication and Public Affairs , this two-year program designed to train political consultants and campaign managers added to the competitive landscape of political communication education in the U.S. federal capital. Have in front of the George Washington University, with masters programs in Political Management and Media & Public Affairs, or the nearby University of Delaware, who this fall will also launch its Center for Political Communication.
As a side note, we noted that two English master's programs include stays at universities in Washington DC as part of the training they offer to their students. The Masters in Political Communication and Institutional University Research Institute Ortega y Gasset offers two intensive weeks in Georgetown University , while Master Political and Corporate Communication at the University of Navarra allows up to four weeks in George Washington University. In both cases the classes are complemented by institutional visits.
